Capel Waengoleugoed, Y Waen

Yn ddiweddar, cawsom eitemau celf a chreffft gan Capel Waengoleugoed, Y Waen. Fe wnaethom ddefnyddio’r eitemau ar gyfer gwneud gwaith ‘collage’ ar gyfer cystadlaethau Celf a Chrefft yr Urdd. Diolch yn fawr iawn iddynt am yr eitemau celf a chrefft.

Yna, dros yr wythnos yma, mae disgyblion blwyddyn 1 a 2 wedi bod yn ysgrifennu cardiau Pasg ar gyfer ymwelwyr Capel Waengoleugoed. Fe wnaeth pawb ysgrifennu gweddi’r Pasg yn eu cerdyn. Llwyddodd pob disgybl ym mlwyddyn 1 a 2 i ysgrifennu cerdyn i’r ymwelwyr. Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb am ysgrifennu mor daclus ac am gyflwyno neges y Gwanwyn ar Pasg yn eu cardiau.

Recently, we received art and craft items from Waengoleugoed Chapel, Waen. We used the items to create our collages for the Urdd collage competitions. Thank you for the art and craft items.

During this week, year 1 and 2 pupils have been busy writing Easter cards for the people who attend ‘Capel Waengoleugoed. Every pupil wrote a special Easter prayer in each card. Project Addysg Grefyddol y Cyfnod Sylfaen / Religious Education Project in the Foundation Phase

Dros y tymor diwethaf, rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am ‘Y Beibl’ yn y Cyfnod Sylfaen. Rydym wedi dysgu am hanes ‘Mari Jones yn cerdded ir Bala’. Fe wnaethom ymweld ar Eglwys a cawsom sgwrs gyda Parch Rebecca am y Beibl. Dangosodd Parch Rebecca nifer o Feiblau gwahanol i ni, yna cawsom gyfle i ofyn cwestiynau am y Beibl. Yna, yn ddiweddar rydym wedi gwrando ar nifer o storiau gwahanol or Beibl.

Over the past term, we have been learning about the Bible in the Foundation Phase. We learnt about ‘Mary Jones walking to Bala’ to purchase her first Bible. Then we went on to learn about the Bibles in church and we had a wonderful afternoon with Rev Rebecca learning about the different Bibles. Rev Rebecca showed us many different Bibles and we all had an opportunity to ask questions. Recently we have listened to many stories from the Bible.

Gorymdaith Dydd Gwyl Dewi / St David’s Day Procession

Cawsom fore hyfryd iawn yn Ninbych heddiw yn dathlu Dydd Gwyl Dewi. Roedd Ysgol Tremeirchion yn un o nifer o ysgolion yr ardal oedd wedi cymryd rhan yn yr orymdaith yn y dref i ddathlu’r diwrnod arbennig hwn. Diolch i’r plant am chwifio eu baneri a gwisgo mewn coch, gwyn a gwyrdd. Roedd yn hyfryd hefyd cyrraedd yn ol yn yr ysgol a gweld plant y cyfnod sylfaen yn dawnsio gwerin ac yn cael hwyl. Bore i’w gofio.

We had a lovely morning in Denbigh to celebrate St David’s Day. Ysgol Tremeirchion was one of a number of local schools that took part in the procession in the town to celebrate this special day. Thank you to all the children for waving their flags and wearing red, white and green. On returning to school we saw pupils in the Foundation Phase taking part in Welsh folk dancing and having fun. A morning to remember.

Beth sy’n gwneud Ysgol Tremeirchion yn arbennig fel ysgol eglwys / What makes Ysgol Tremeirchion special as a church school

Ddoe cawsom ddiwrnod diddorol iawn yn CA2 yn trafod a chasglu gwybodaeth am Ysgol Tremeirchion fel ysgol Eglwys. Roedd y plant yn gweithio mewn grwpiau i greu ffilm, map meddwl drwy beintio lluniau a chwblhau holiadur ar lein. Cliciwch ar y ddolen i weld esiamplau o’r lluniau maent wedi eu tynnu gyda chamera a peintio. Diolch i’r Parchedig Rebecca ac i Mrs Cathrin Roberts, dwy o’n llywodraethwyr eglwys am ein helpu.

Yesterday pupils in KS2 had a very interesting day discussing and collecting information about Ysgol Tremeirchion being a church school. The children worked in groups creating a film, a mind map through painting, and they completed an on-line survey. Please click on the link to see examples of photographs and pictures taken by the pupils. Our thanks to the Reverend Rebecca and Mrs Cathrin Roberts, two of our church governors, for helping us.

Diwrnod Cofio / Remembrance Day

Bore ‘ma cawsom Wasanaeth Diwrnod Cofio ar fuarth yr ysgol ac wrth y golofn gerllaw giat yr Eglwys. Roedd tri o’r plant yn dangos lluniau  pabi; un coch am y rhai a fu farw, un porffor i gofio am yr anifeiliaid gollodd eu bywydau ac un gwyn i ddangos ymrwymiad i weithio tuag at heddwch. Cawsom funud o dawelwch ac amser i fyfyrio gan orffen gyda gweddi.

This morning we had a Remembrance Day Service on the school yard and in front of the memorial. Three children held pictures of poppies; a one red for those we died, one purple to remember the animals that lost their lives and one white to represent the commitment to work towards peace. We had a minute of silence, time for reflection and finished with a prayer.

“Hadau Gobaith” / “Seeds of Hope”

Yn ddiweddar, derbyniodd yr ysgol hadau blodau’r haul gan archfarchnad Morrisons, Dinbych. Cafodd pob disgybl ar draws yr ysgol gyfle i blannu’r hadau ac heddiw aethom ar blodau o amgylch y pentref ar gymuned leol. Diolch yn fawr iawn i Morrisons am yr hadau ac i’r disgyblion am eu plannu.

Recently, the school received sunflower seeds from the supermarket Morrisons, Denbigh. Every pupil in the school had an opportunity to  plant the seeds and today we took the plants around the village and the local community. Thank you very much to Morrisons for the seeds and to the pupils for planting them.
