Cegin mwd / Mud kitchen

Cegin mwd o gronfa y loteri fawr / Mud kitchen funded by the big lottery.

Yn ystod tymor yr haf bu’r ysgol yn llwyddiannus yn eu cais am gronfa y loteri fawr. O ganlyniad mae ardal yr ardd/ ardal dysgu tu allan yn dechrau edrych yn dra wahanol. Yn ystod yr wythnosau diwethaf bu Ondrej Uhrin yn adeiladu cegin mwd ar gyfer disgyblion yr ysgol a cylch meithrin. Mae’r canlyniad yn arbennig. Dioch i Ondrej ac i Pippa Gallagher am drefnu y gwaith yma. Bydd y disgyblion wrth eu bodd.

During the summer term we were successful in our bid for big lottery funding. The garden area/outside learning area is beginning to look very different. During the last few weeks Ondrej Uhrin has been building a mud kitchen for the pupils and for cylch meithrin. The result is fantastic. Thanks to Ondrej and to Pippa Gallagher for arranging the work. The pupils will really enjoy using this.

Gwisg Ysgol, cotiau a bagiau / School Uniform, coats and bags.

Annwy rieni,

Yn ystod yr haf dyma’r ysgol, ar ran y Cyngor Ysgol yn archebu a threfnu blychau newydd yn lle’r bachyn ar gyfer cotiau a bagiau’r plant. Mae pob disgybl ym mlwyddyn 2 i 6 yn awr gyda blwch eu hunain sydd i’w weld yn gweithio’n llawer hwylusach i bawb. Serch hynny rydym yn casglu nifer o eitemau ar ddiwedd y dydd sydd unai ar y llawr neu wedi ei adael ar y cae. Dydd Gwener diwethaf roedd 16 crys chwys a 6 o gotiau wedi eu casglu o amgylch yr ysgol gan y staff a rhain yma dros y penwythnos. Yn gynharach yn yr wythnos roeddwn wedi dangos i’r plant pentwr o dillad yr oedd y staff wedi ei gasglu ers mis Medi, gan amcangyfrif bod rhyw £300 o werth o ddillad ynddo. Yn y caban mae pentwr o ddillad di-enw sydd wedi ei gasglu flwyddyn diwethaf a hwn yn werth rhyw £500.

Mae’r dillad yn ddrud a gallaf ddeall rhwystredigaeth rhieni pan mae’r plant yn dod adref heb eitemau o wisg ysgol ac addysg gorfforol. Mae enwau ar rai  ond nid ar bob un. Rydym yn gofyn i’r rhieni ein helpu drwy ennyn ar y plant i gymryd cyfrifoldeb am roi eu siwmper, cot a bag yn daclus yn eu blwch, ac iddynt fynd a nhw adref ar ddiwedd y dydd.

Dear parents,

During the summer term the school, on behalf of the School Council, purchased shelving/boxes to replace the pegs for coats, bags. Every pupil in Year 2 to 6 has their own storage area and this is much more convenient for all. Unfortunately we are still collecting items which have either been left on the floor or on the field. Last Friday 16 sweatshirts and 6 coats had been collected from around the school and left in the school over the weekend. Earlier in the week I had shown the children a pile of clothing that has been collected since September, with an estimated value of about £300. In the caban we have bags of clothing collected last year with no names with an estimated value of £500.

These are expensive items, and I can understand parents frustration when children come home without items of school uniform or physical education kit. Some have names but not all. We are respectfully asking for parents to support us by reminding their children that they need to take responsibility and put their jumper, coat, and bag tidily away in their storage area, and for them to take them home at the end of each day.

Yn gywir / Regards
