Mae dros 2,000 o breswylwyr wedi cael taliad tuag at eu biliau tanwydd

Mae ceisiadau ar gyfer cynllun cymorth tanwydd gaeaf i breswylwyr Sir Ddinbych dal ar agor.

Mae Cyngor Sir Ddinbych yn gweinyddu Cynllun Cymorth Tanwydd Gaeaf Llywodraeth Cymru sy’n rhoi cyfle i aelwydydd cymwys hawlio taliad o £100 tuag at dalu biliau tanwydd gaeaf.

Ers iddo agor ar 13 Rhagfyr mae dros 4,000 o bobl wedi ymgeisio ar gyfer y cynllun ac mae dros ddwy fil o daliadau eisoes wedi eu prosesu.

Mae’r taliad ar gael i aelwydydd cymwys sydd eisoes wedi cael cymorth gan o leiaf un o’r cynlluniau a restrir isodunrhyw bryd rhwng 1 Rhagfyr 2021 a 31 Ionawr 2022 , beth bynnag fo’r dull o dalu biliau; os ydych yn gyfrifol am dalu’r bil tanwydd neu fesurydd a rag-dalwyd;

  • Cymhorthdal Incwm
  • Lwfans Ceisio Gwaith Seiliedig ar Incwm
  • Lwfans Cyflogaeth a Chymorth Seiliedig ar Incwm
  • Credyd Cynhwysol
  • Credydau Treth Gweithio

Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Julian Thompson-Hill, Aelod Arweiniol Cyllid, Perfformiad ac Asedau Strategol Cyngor Sir Ddinbych: “Ers cyflwyno’r cynllun, mae’r cyngor wedi bod yn gweithio ar y cyd â swyddogion Llywodraeth Cymru i sicrhau bod holl breswylwyr cymwys yn Sir Ddinbych yn cael taliadau cyn gynted â phosib.”

“Er bod nifer fawr o breswylwyr cymwys eisoes wedi cael eu taliad, rydym yn parhau i geisio sicrhau fod preswylwyr cymwys nad ydynt wedi prosesu eu cais eto, yn gwneud hyn cyn ei bod yn rhy hwyr.”

Rhaid cael bob cais erbyn 18 Chwefror, 2022.

Over 2,000 residents have received payment towards their fuel bills

Applications for a winter fuel support scheme for Denbighshire residents are still open.

Denbighshire County Council is administering the Welsh Government Winter Fuel Support Scheme which offers eligible households to claim a one-off £100 payment to provide support towards paying winter fuel bills.

Since it opened on December 13 over four thousand people have applied to the scheme and over two thousand payments have already been processed.

The payment is available to qualified households who already receive support from at least one of the below schemes listed below at any time between 1 December 2021 and 31 January 2022, regardless of how bills are paid; provided you are responsible for the payment of the fuel bill or pre-payment meter;

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income Based Employment and Support Allowance
  • Universal Credit
  • Working Tax Credits

Cllr Julian Thompson-Hill, Denbighshire County Council’s Lead Member for Finance, Performance and Strategic Assets, said: “Since the scheme was rolled out, the council have been working in conjunction with Welsh Government officers to ensure that all qualifying residents in Denbighshire receive payments as quickly as possible.”

“Although a large number of qualifying residents have already received their payment, we are still reaching out to ensure that eligible residents who haven’t yet processed their application, do this before it is too late.”

All applications must be received by February 18, 2022.
